A cash on delivery website built for how Pakistan shops
Cash on delivery is how most Pakistani customers prefer to pay online. We build COD ecommerce stores where the amount collected at the door is exactly what your shop set, stock is held for real orders and fake orders are harder to place.
The short version
| Topic | In short |
|---|---|
| 1Why cash on delivery needs more than a checkbox | Plenty of platforms let you switch on a "cash on delivery" option. |
| 2The amount the rider collects is the amount you set | On a COD order, the total on the parcel is the money you actually receive. |
| 3Stock reserved at the moment of ordering | When you sell through DMs, it's easy to confirm the same last piece to two people and then send an apology message. |
| 4Fewer fake and prank orders | Fake COD orders cost real money: packing time, courier charges and stock tied up in a parcel that comes back. |
| 5Guest checkout for first-time buyers | A shopper tapping through from an Instagram story is not in the mood to create an account. |
| 6Delivery fees on your terms | You decide the delivery fee and the order value above which delivery is free. |
| 7From COD order to courier booking | Once an order is in, you can book it with Leopards or PostEx directly from the admin panel. |
Why cash on delivery needs more than a checkbox
Plenty of platforms let you switch on a "cash on delivery" option. That part is easy. The hard part is everything COD exposes: riders collecting the wrong amount, orders for stock you no longer have, customers who never meant to buy, and parcels coming back after a courier has already charged you.

A cash on delivery website in Pakistan has to be built with those problems in mind. The store we build treats COD as the main way people pay, so the checkout, stock handling and admin panel are all designed around it.
The amount the rider collects is the amount you set
On a COD order, the total on the parcel is the money you actually receive. If that number is wrong, you either lose margin or end up in an argument at the customer's door. That is why the order total is calculated on the server, never taken from the shopper's browser.
- Option prices, such as a larger size or a gift box, added correctly
- Discount codes checked against their rules before they reduce the total
- Your delivery fee and free-delivery threshold, set up for your store, applied at checkout

Item prices, size or colour price adjustments, the discount code and the delivery fee are all worked out and verified by the store itself. Someone editing a page in their browser can't lower the price, and that verified total is what gets sent to the courier with the booking.
Stock reserved at the moment of ordering
When you sell through DMs, it's easy to confirm the same last piece to two people and then send an apology message. On your store, stock is reserved the instant an order is placed, so two customers can't both buy the last unit of a size or shade.

Each option can have its own stock, so a medium can sell out while small and large stay available. If an order is cancelled in the admin panel, its stock goes back on sale automatically, along with any discount-code use it consumed.
Fewer fake and prank orders
Fake COD orders cost real money: packing time, courier charges and stock tied up in a parcel that comes back. No website can stop every customer who changes their mind, but you can make scripted and repeated junk orders harder to place.

The store rate limits orders coming from the same connection or the same email address, which slows down anyone trying to flood you with orders. Because orders arrive with full details in the admin panel, you can also review anything suspicious before you book a courier.
Guest checkout for first-time buyers
A shopper tapping through from an Instagram story is not in the mood to create an account. Guest checkout lets them enter a name, phone number and address and place a COD order straight away. Customers who come back can create an account with saved addresses to check out faster next time.

After ordering, the customer receives an order confirmation email, and can look up their order on the tracking page using the order number and email, which cuts down "parcel kab aayega?" messages. Once the order is booked with a courier, the tracking number is emailed to them as well, so they know the parcel is on its way and to keep cash ready.
Delivery fees on your terms
You decide the delivery fee and the order value above which delivery is free. The checkout applies those rules automatically, and the verified total includes them, so there is no gap between what the customer saw and what the rider asks for.

A free-delivery threshold is a simple way to nudge a customer into adding one more item, and it shows clearly in the order total rather than being negotiated over WhatsApp. Customers see the fee before they confirm the order, so nobody is surprised when the rider arrives.
From COD order to courier booking
Once an order is in, you can book it with Leopards or PostEx directly from the admin panel. The COD amount is sent with the booking, the tracking number is saved on the order and emailed to the customer, and the system stops the same order being booked twice. You can see the storefront side of this checkout in the demo store at /demo.

The order then moves through its statuses as the parcel travels, and a sync action pulls updates from the courier. If a parcel is refused and comes back, you can mark the order as returned, and cancelling an order puts its stock back on sale, so a failed COD delivery doesn't leave your stock count wrong.
Frequently asked questions
Can customers pay online by card or mobile wallet as well?
The stores we build today are designed around cash on delivery, which is built in. If you need another payment method, tell us about it when you get in touch and we'll discuss what's possible for your store.
Can a website completely stop fake COD orders?
No website can stop every refused parcel. What the store does is make scripted and repeated fake orders harder by rate limiting orders from the same connection or email, and it gives you every order's details in the admin panel so you can review before booking a courier.
What happens to stock if a COD order is cancelled?
When you cancel an order in the admin panel, the stock for each item and option goes back automatically, and any discount-code use on that order is returned too.
Do customers need an account to place a COD order?
No. Guest checkout is available. Customers can create an account if they want saved addresses and a wishlist, but it isn't required to order.
